Stettler man charged for breaking into residence, assault with a weapon

A 30-year-old Stettler man faces several charges relating to a string of criminal activity earlier this month.

It was at about 7:30 a.m. on May 10 when police received a complaint of a suspicious male on a property near Stettler. The lone male left a truck – later determined to have been stolen – and went on foot to another property where he stole an ATV.

The male then attempted to steal another truck at a third property and fled into a residence before he was arrested by police.

With the assistance of Bashaw RCMP, Red Deer Police Dog Services and Stettler County residents, Stettler RCMP arrested Kyle Grams and charged him with break and enter to a residence, assault with a weapon, theft of a motor vehicle and and other related offences and was remanded into custody.

At the time of his arrest, Grams was free on bail from a driving incident in Stettler from April 18.
