Rocky RCMP seeking information after death of pedestrian

Mounties in Rocky Mountain House are investigating the death of a female who was walking on the Sunchild First Nation and struck by a vehicle.

The incident reportedly happened around 3 a.m. Friday, May 17 on the main road about 2.2 kilometres west of the school road.

EMS and police responded to find the woman dead at the scene, and that the vehicle which hit her had fled.

They confirmed on Saturday the woman was a 39-year-old mother of five.
