Murder charges laid in death of man missing from Wetaskiwin

RCMP in Wetaskiwin have laid charges against five people connected to the homicide of a 32-year-old man.

The Major Crimes Unit, which took carriage of the investigation into the disappearance of Daniel Jason Coursol on February 20, says human remains were found on April 23 near Maskwacis.

An autopsy has confirmed the remains to be those of Coursol.

Christopher Davies, 33, of Edmonton, Jamie Wasp-Colin, 36, of Wetaskiwin, and Paula House, 44, of Edmonton, are all charged with first degree murder.

House, along with Shereen Miller, 27, of Wetaskiwin, and Kara Pounder, 31, of Edmonton, are charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

House and Miller also face counts of causing indignity to human remains.

They all have upcoming court dates in Wetaskiwin.

All have been remanded into custody.
