Abortion protesters anti and pro converge on legislature

EDMONTON- Hundreds of anti-abortion demonstrators gathered at the Alberta legislature yesterday to send a message to the new provincial government.

Organizers of the march say the peaceful rally was to show that life is a gift of God that should be protected.

United Conservative MLA Dan Williams praised the demonstration.

But there was also a counter-protest by pro-choice supporters, including former NDP health minister Sarah Hoffman.
