Notley addresses labour convention in Calgary

CALGARY- Opposition leader Rachel Notley was one of the speakers at the Alberta Federation of Labour’s weekend convention in Calgary.

She told the crowd that the province’s new premier isn’t interested in standing up for working people.

Notley stated Jason Kenney’s talk about things such as clawing back overtime pay will cost workers thousands of dollars.

The United Conservative government responded that Calgary and Edmonton have the second and third highest unemployment rates in Canada, and that Albertans gave a resounding endorsement to its plan to re-ignite the economy.
