Outstanding teaching in PE honours for local teacher

The athletic director at Red Deer’s École Camille J. Lerouge School has received a Commendation Award from the Health and Physical Council.

The award is given to teachers have made outstanding contributions to health and/or physical education.

“Dan Cormier is constantly thinking of new ways to keep our students active and have them find success in school and in life. We are so blessed to have him be part of our school community,” says Principal Dorice de Champlain.

Cormier is very involved in the school community, coaching badminton, basketball, and track and field.
