The Jazz At The Lake Festival Society is in high gear as they prepare for their 17th Annual Festival taking place August 16-18, 2019, which will host an awesome variety of artists, the ever popular “Pubs & Clubs” event as well as the newly added event “Party in the Park”!

Headliner Laila Biali (who recently won the JUNO for “Vocal Jazz Album of the Year”) is returning by popular demand!

An amazing line-up of performers and events are planned throughout the weekend with the addition of “Party in the Park” taking place in Centennial Park during the afternoon of Sunday, August 18th.

Enjoy the gorgeous view of the beach of Alberta’s jewel, Sylvan Lake, and dance along to two high energy, exciting bands: Legendary Saskatchewan bluesman Jack Semple and Argentinian keyboard phenom Gabriel Palatchi with their respective trios.

With admission being a modest $10 for adults and free for kids, why not spend the afternoon on the beach with great people and great music!

Johnny Summers is back for the 11th year with his Little Big Band in a Swing Dance on Saturday night, August 17, at the Legion. SWING IS KING!

“Pubs & Clubs” is back this year and will feature seven different live jazz and jazz-oriented bands at seven different venues in town! Bands start at 4:00 p.m. and continue every half hour on the half hour into late evening.

ALL FREE ADMISSION!

“It is our mandate in our 17th consecutive year to continue to provide a venue for jazz performers of the highest quality, thereby enhancing Sylvan Lake’s historic tradition of live music, cultural awareness and family fun for Albertans of all ages; and to expand the awareness of, and provide performance venues for musicians and students involved in the arts communities and the numerous music programs in our community.

But above all, our mandate is to………HAVE FUN!,” Eric Allison and Cheryl Fisher, Festival Coordinators.
