National Youth Week in Blackfalds

Blackfalds Town Council has proclaimed proclaimed May 1 – 7, 2019 as National Youth Week in Blackfalds.

The week will be celebrated by activities each day throughout the Town.

“As a young community, we are proud to recognize the youth of Blackfalds and provide them a full slate of activities to celebrate the vibrancy they bring to our town,” stated Mayor Richard Poole.

National Youth Week is dedicated to the celebration of youth and their active participation in their community. Whether it is recreation, drama, sport, dance, civic engagement, art, volunteerism or leadership, everyday young people are involved in meaningful activities during their discretionary time. National Youth Week is to honour their involvement.
