Correction: Ex-TCU Star-Girlfriend Assaulted story
FORT WORTH, Texas — In a story April 29 about former TCU receiver and returner KaVontae Turpin pleading guilty to assaulting his girlfriend, The Associated Press reported erroneously the charge’s category and sentencing range. The charge was a Class A misdemeanour with a possible sentencing range of up to one year in jail, not a third-degree felony with a sentencing range of two to 10 years in prison.
