Veer congratulates Red Deer’s new MLAs, vows to work together on important issues
Red Deer City Council and Mayor Tara Veer have offered their congratulations to the city’s two new MLAs and Premier-Designate Jason Kenney.
Adriana LaGrange, UCP candidate for Red Deer-North and Jason Stephan, UCP candidate for Red Deer-South were each elected in their respective ridings during Tuesday’s provincial election.
“We look forward to engaging with our local MLAs on the issues that are important to Red Deer,” says Veer in a release. “These include continued advocacy for much needed infrastructure and program expansion at the Red Deer Regional Hospital, energy infrastructure, sufficient shelter capacity, preserving the Parsons House, building a residential treatment centre and adequate provincial grant funding. Together we can build stronger Alberta cities.”
