WATCH: Red Deerians head to the polls

Polling stations across the city were busy on Tuesday as Red Deerians cast their ballot for the 2019 Alberta Election.

With 174 of 179 polls reporting as of Wednesday morning, 65.4 per cent of eligible electors in Red Deer voted in the election (42,926 votes out of 65,604 eligible).

In Red Deer-North, with 87 of 89 polls reporting, voter turnout was 67.4 per cent (20,181/29,929).

In Red Deer-South, with 87 of 90 polls reporting, turnout was 63.8 per cent (22,745/35,675).
