Horner elected in Drumheller-Stettler
United Conservative Party candidate Nate Horner has been elected MLA for the Drumheller-Stettler riding.
Horner is a farmer and rancher who lives with his wife and two young children in Pollockville, near Hanna. He’s part of a family with deep Conservative roots, with relatives including former senator R.B. Horner, former MPs Jack, Hugh, Albert and Norval Horner and former deputy premier Doug Horner.
Strankman, who was elected as Wildrose MLA for the riding in 2012, quit the UCP caucus this past January to sit as an independent because he said the party was crafting policy from the top down and not seeking input from grassroots members.
