RCMP investigate drive-by shooting near Olds

RCMP are looking for suspects following a drive-by shooting near Olds on Sunday.

It happened around 4:40 a.m. when Mounties responded to a complaint of shots being fired through a residence window and wall of a rural home near Eagle Hill.

According to police, the sole occupant of the home, a 59 year old man, told officers he was awake in his livingroom when he saw vehicle headlights approaching on the roadway. Moments later he heard several shots fired.

Once at the scene, members confirmed the residence had been struck by gun fire but no injuries occurred as a result.

Mounties believe however that the victim was targeted and there is no indication of risk to the general public.
