Notre Dame raises $45,000 (and counting) for child advocacy centre

The Grad Service Project at École Secondaire Notre Dame High School to date has raised $45,000 for the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre with the goal of $50,000.

Each year the graduating class from École Secondaire Notre Dame High School chooses a charity to raise funds for through their Grad Service Project. For the past 11 years, students have raised more than $600,000 for student chosen charities.

At the beginning of April, over 200 students from École Secondaire Notre Dame High School and St. Francis of Assisi Middle School participated in a Grad Service Project week. During the week, students were involved in a series of challenges help to raise funds that included:

  • Monday – A banner and team name challenge
  • Tuesday – Extreme musical chairs in the gathering area of the school
  • Wednesday – Public Service Announcement Challenge on the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre
  • Thursday – Extreme Simon Says and Rock Paper Scissors challenge
  • Friday – 22-hour scavenger hunt throughout the City of Red Deer
