South end smash-in

Vehicle crashes into cellphone store

Apr 5, 2019 | 9:39 AM

A south Red Deer business is cleaning up after being driven into around 5 a.m on the morning of Friday, April 5.

RCMP were on scene at the Bell store at Southpointe Common.

The front entrance to the business was completely destroyed. Tire tracks at the scene indicate a vehicle rammed into the storefront.

Cpl. Karyn Kay with Red Deer RCMP says they would like the public to keep watch for a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck with rear-end damage.

She adds that it doesn’t appear many items were taken because of the store’s strong security, though it’s believed there are two suspects who were in the vehicle at the time.

Surveillance images are not yet being released.
