Red Deer County woman charged with killing husband to face preliminary inquiry

A preliminary inquiry will take place this fall for a Red Deer County woman accused of killing her husband.

Robin Berresford, 36, has been charged with first-degree murder in the Feb. 27 death of Matthew Berresford, 36.

Blackfalds and Red Deer RCMP responded to a disturbance in Red Deer County and discovered a deceased man inside a residence.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit North attended and took carriage of the investigation with assistance from Blackfalds RCMP, Red Deer RCMP and RCMP Forensic Identification Services.
