Charges laid in fatal crash near Sundre

Charges have been laid in connection to a fatal crash that happened last December near Sundre.

It was December 15, police say, on Hwy 27 near Range Road 44 east of Sundre where an eastbound pickup truck collided with a westbound car.

Darryl Hyslop, 39, of Olds was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police said road conditions were favourable at the time.

On Friday, RCMP revealed that 22-year-old Jaylan Armstrong of Sundre has been charged with one count each of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death and Operation of a Motor Vehicle with over 80 mg of Alcohol Causing Death.

Armstrong is scheduled to appear in Didsbury Provincial Court on April 29.
