Renegades capture bronze at indoor Provincials

Congratulations going out to the Red Deer Renegades U17 Girls soccer team which captured a bronze medal in the Tier 2 division at Indoor Provincials in Edmonton March 17.

The Renegades finished with a round-robin record of 2-2 to place third in the five-team tournament, shutting-out the Saints 2-0, losing to Foothills 4-1 and the MUSC Selects 5-3 before defeating the SW Sting 2-1.

Team officials say they are proud of the girls and point-out the result is proof that Red Deer can compete with the big city teams.
