CAMPAIGN TRAIL

Full UCP platform takes front and centre

Mar 30, 2019 | 12:00 PM

On day 12 of the Alberta election trail, UCP leader Jason Kenney unveiled his party’s full platform.

Early this afternoon, Kenney announced his party would achieve a surplus by 2022/23.

The NDP’s Rachel Notley, reacting to Kenney’s announcement from Edmonton, said the UCP’s platform would hurt families and the economy.

Meanwhile, the Alberta Party’s Stephen Mandel announced how he would cancel the NDP’s carbon tax. In Edmonton, Mandel stated that the tax has hurt small business, families, municipalities, and not-for-profit organizations.

Alberta Liberal leader David Khan was door-knocking in Calgary, and later made an announcement related to dental care.
