Maloughney joins Board of Trustees

Catholic by-election results declared official

The City of Red Deer announced the official results of the Red Deer Catholic Regional Division #39 Red Deer Area Ward By-election today.

Robert Maloughney was successful in his candidacy and won trusteeship with 381 votes.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to use my years of experience in Catholic education in a new capacity of service,” said Maloughney, who has teaching and administrative experience with the division.

“We’re excited to welcome Rob to the Board of Trustees. Rob’s commitment to Catholic education, combined with his intimate knowledge of the education system in Alberta, make him a great addition to our board,” said Board Chair, Anne Marie Watson.
