Bantam AAA Rebels drop double-OT heartbreaker in provincial final

The Red Deer Bantam AAA Rebels came agonizingly close to winning a provincial title Tuesday night.

Unfortunately, the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers scored with just 19 seconds left in the third period, then again in the second overtime period to win by a score of 5-4.

The Rangers win the Bantam AAA provincial final three games to two.

Red Deer fell behind 3-0 Tuesday night before storming back with four goals in the third period for a 4-3 lead before Fort Saskatchewan scored late to force extra time.
