Semi crashes on QEII cause major delays

Blackfalds RCMP are advising motorists of hazardous driving conditions on the QEII Highway northbound at Gasoline Alley.

Police say they are dealing with a number of vehicles that have left the road. Motorists can expect delays because of slippery road conditions and poor visibility.

Traffic is being re-routed around a section of the QEII Highway northbound lanes between Gasoline Alley and 67 street exits. Major delays are occurring as all northbound traffic is detoured into Red Deer.

Mounties are recommending that if you have to travel today, reduce speed and check weather and road conditions before heading out.
