David Thompson High School closing its doors in 2021
Wild Rose School Division is making plans for life without David Thompson High School.
Alberta Municipal Affairs has told the division that the school will officially close its doors on December 31, 2021. The decision was made due to the school’s sewage lagoon not meeting code and being too costly to repair.
Children from kindergarten to grade six will attend school in Condor, while students in grades seven to twelve will be in Leslieville.
Wild Rose School Division has sent a proposal to the Alberta Government to modernize and expand the Condor School, while the school in Leslieville will be torn down and replaced with a brand new school.
