A Red Deer Man has been charged following an investigation that led to the discovery of stolen property and break and enter tools in Lacombe.

The investigation began on February 22 when members of the Lacombe Police Service responded to a call about an individual entering people’s backyards.

Further investigation led to the discovering that the man was in possession of stolen property and tools that could be used to break into homes.

Police noted that the stolen belongings were related to the increasing number of break and enters in Lacombe.

Justin Eric Arnault, 32, of Red Deer is charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of possessing break-in instruments, one count of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of failing to comply with probation order and one count of disobeying a court order.

“The Lacombe Police would like to thank the citizens of Lacombe for remaining vigilant and reporting suspicious activity. Crime occurs at all hours of the day and it is important that we work together to reduce crime in the area,” says Constable Vaughan Bleasdale.
