Competitive Red Deer swimmer named ASDC-Central Athlete of the Month

A competitive swimmer from Red Deer has been named February’s Alberta Sport Development Centre–Central (ASDC-C) Athlete of the Month.

Isaac Bahler, 14, is a grade 9 French Immersion student at Lindsay Thurber High School and most recently won three gold, two bronze and a silver medal at the 2018 Alberta Summer Games in Grande Prairie.

Officials with ASDC-Central say Bahler has had a great year in the pool with the Red Deer Catalina Swim Club thus far, achieving many Alberta Championship qualifying times, in addition to a Western Canadian Championship qualifying time.

Bahler is now said to be gearing up for Alberta Short Course Championships in March 2019 and Western Championships in April 2019.
