Five candidates seek UCP nod in Red Deer – South

The Red Deer – South UCP Constituency Association confirms five individuals are seeking the party’s nomination in the riding for the looming provincial election.

The deadline to register as a nominee was Sunday. Party members in Red Deer – South will select their candidate on March 16.

Adele Poratto, Bruce Buruma, Gary Davidson, Jason Stephan and Norman Wiebe are all vying for the nomination.

In December, the UCP announced the nomination vote would be delayed in order to accommodate a “high profile individual.”
