Red Deer County names new Director of Emergency Management

Staffing changes at Red Deer County has led to the naming of a new Director of Emergency Management.

County officials say Dave Brand takes over the role from Ric Henderson, who will now become the new Director of Corporate Services on a contract basis until the end of August 2019. Henderson will also serve as Deputy Director of Emergency Management along with Dave Dittrick.

Brand and County Manager Curtis Herzberg previously served as Deputy Directors of Emergency Management.

County officials say the role of the Director is to manage the County Emergency Management program, including mitigation, preparedness and response and recovery priorities for the County.
