Downtown road closures and fireworks times for 2019 Canada Winter Games

The City of Red Deer has announced when and where downtown road closures will be taking place during next month’s 2019 Canada Winter Games.

To accommodate free downtown festivals, the following roads will close:

– 48 Avenue from 51 Street to 53 Street from February 11 to March 5
– Little Gaetz Avenue (50 Avenue) from 49 Street to 48 Street from February 15 to March 3

There will also be concerts and fireworks happening between Feb. 16 and Mar. 1 as part of the 52° North Music and Cultural Festival. Fire works will last approximately two minutes and take place at the following times:
