Cannabis company announces product recall in Alberta

EDMONTON- The Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission has announced a cannabis recall in Alberta.

Up Cannabis is voluntarily recalling a portion of its Eldo 7 gram dried cannabis product due to “detectable levels of mould/microbial contaminants.”

Newstrike Brands, the parent company of Up Cannabis, says the recall affects 1,428 units of product, and they were only sold in Alberta.

AGLC says Health Canada has been notified and will conduct additional testing of the product. It is not expected the contaminants will have undesirable health effects on consumers.
