Arson charge laid in Innisfail house fire

Nov 30, 2018 | 12:32 PM

A 31-year-old man has been charged with arson after a house undergoing renovations in Innisfail went up in flames earlier this month.

The fire in the early morning hours of Nov. 6 at a property on 50 Avenue caused extensive damage to the residence and garage. The home was unoccupied at the time.

After an extensive investigation, Innisfail RCMP have arrested and charged Joshua Cook of Innisfail with one count of arson.

RCMP believe this was a targeted incident and do not believe the public to be at risk.
