Edmonton man with HIV charged with aggravated sex assault
EDMONTON – An Edmonton man, 28-year-old Anthony Lee Taylor, is accused of not telling a sexual partner that he has the virus that can cause AIDS has been charged with aggravated sexual assault.
Police say a 57-year-old man filed a complaint that he had consensual sex with the suspect and has contracted HIV.
The man says their two encounters happened in late 2016 and that the suspect did not share his HIV status.
Police say the suspect is considered to have a high HIV viral load and has not sought treatment in a number of years.
