Edmonton police charge 15-year-old with attempted murder in bus driver stabbing
EDMONTON -Police have charged a 15-year-old boy with attempted murder and other offences after a transit bus driver was stabbed multiple times.
Police say the 65-year-old driver was attacked early Wednesday morning and is recovering in hospital with serious but not life-threatening wounds.
The youth, who can’t be named because of his young age, is also charged with aggravated assault, possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public and theft of a motor vehicle.
The head of the union that represents the driver says the victim was stabbed up to 13 times after he refused a ride to a passenger.
