Thunder edged in Whitecourt

The Drayton Valley Thunder suffered their first loss of the 2018-19 AJHL season Thursday night.

The Thunder were edged 5-4 on the road by the Whitecourt Wolverines.

Whitecourt jumped out to a 2-0 lead through 20 minutes and a 3-2 lead through two periods. The teams each scored twice in the third period.

Jeremy Klessens scored twice for the Thunder while Jesse Pomeroy and Brock Bartholomew each scored once. Rory Dumelie played in goal and made 32 saves on the night.
