Serious, life-threatening injuries for man in gravel truck rollover near Pine Lake

A 54-year-old Red Deer man is in stable condition but suffering from life-threatening injuries after a gravel truck rollover near Pine Lake on Friday.

RCMP says it happened around 10:30 a.m. when an eastbound gravel truck on Township Road 362 lost control and rolled into a ditch about 1.5 kms east of Highway 816, just west of Pine Lake.

Mounties say passers-by found the man pinned in his vehicle and pulled him out.

Innisfail RCMP attended along with STARS air ambulance which took him to Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary for treatment of his traumatic injuries.
