Search on in Westlock area for overdue plane
WESTLOCK- RCMP are asking farmers and other property owners in an area northwest of Edmonton to check their land for any sign of a small plane that never arrived at its destination.
Mounties were informed by the Coast Guard Rescue Co-ordination Centre that a Cessna 172 with just the pilot on board was overdue in the Westlock area.
The plane left Edson, just before 5:30 p.m. on Sunday and was due to land in Westlock at 7:00 that evening.
It never arrived and no contact has been made with the pilot.
