FRAUD RESULTS IN A LOSS OF $20,000, $6,000 STOLEN WITH USE OF STOLEN UFA CARD 

Drayton Valley RCMP say on June 28 at 12:43 p.m. a complainant reported providing credit card information over the phone approximately 1 month ago.  Caller had stated that they were from CIBC.  Since then approximately $20,000 has been charged to VISA.  VISA is now closed.   Public are reminded to not provide personal information or credit card information over the phone to callers representing themselves as personnel from banks etc. 

At 1:05 p.m. at CAN-VAC Oilfield services a complainant reported unusual transactions totalling approximately $6,000 on a UFA card.  UFA card had been stolen.

At 2:08 p.m. in the Pleasantview Trailer Court a complainant reported observing two youth driving erratically in parking lot.  Complainant advised the youth to slow down at which time the youth swore at them and took off.  Complainant followed.  Youth blocked complainant in and would not let them leave. 

Members attended and both parties were spoken to about their behaviour.

MAN ARRESTED AFTER FIGHTING

On June 29 just before 11 p.m. in Rocky Rapids a report came in of two males fighting and yelling at each other.  Members attended and arrested one male who was subsequently held for a hearing. 

LEASE SITE THEFTS

On July 1 at 10:32 a.m. in Cynthia Sinopec advised of damage to ground cables at several locations, copper wire stolen. 

At 11:30 a.m. in Brazeau County complainant reported copper wire stolen from lease site. 

At 7:40 p.m. on Highway 620 in Brazeau County a complainant reported someone had cut the locks to the c-cans.  Copper wire observed in the field.

LEASE SITE THEFT, VEHICLE BROKEN INTO

On July 3 just after 11:30 a.m. in Brazeau County Prairie Mountain Construction reported the theft of fuel, Batteries and cable from a parked grader at a lease site. 

At 1:19 p.m. on 44 Street a complainant reported the theft of 200 foot garden hose from yard.

At 2:53 p.m. in Drayton Valley a report came in that someone broke into a Nelson Brothers truck while parked at Dunn Rite Communications yard and stole tires, speakers and headlight baezel. 

LEASE SITE BROKEN INTO, PLAYGROUND VANDALIZED.

On July 4 just after 8:30 a.m. in Brazeau County Obsidian Energy reported damage to a wiring station, cut ground cable, noticed it was aluminum and left it behind.  Suspects also entered the lease site in Lobstick filed and stole battery from the solar panel.  In addition Obsidian Energy reported a theft of a battery from a chemical tank at a lease site near Lodgepole. 

At 9:18 a.m. in Cynthia Whitecap Resources reported a break in to its south yard.  Fence cut, a bunch of cable was dragged out of a shed. 

At 11:30 a.m. on Township Road 492 in Brazeau County a report came in of the mailboxes at Twp 492 and RR 73 having been pried open.  Canada Post advised.  

At 2:06 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Playground a report was received of spray painting on the surface of the shark park. 

At 3:36 p.m. in Brazeau County Cenovus reported the theft of ground cable from one of their lease sites.
