FRAUD RESULTS IN A LOSS OF $20,000, $6,000 STOLEN WITH USE OF STOLEN UFA CARD
Drayton Valley RCMP say on June 28 at 12:43 p.m. a complainant reported providing credit card information over the phone approximately 1 month ago. Caller had stated that they were from CIBC. Since then approximately $20,000 has been charged to VISA. VISA is now closed. Public are reminded to not provide personal information or credit card information over the phone to callers representing themselves as personnel from banks etc.
At 1:05 p.m. at CAN-VAC Oilfield services a complainant reported unusual transactions totalling approximately $6,000 on a UFA card. UFA card had been stolen.
At 2:08 p.m. in the Pleasantview Trailer Court a complainant reported observing two youth driving erratically in parking lot. Complainant advised the youth to slow down at which time the youth swore at them and took off. Complainant followed. Youth blocked complainant in and would not let them leave.
