Members of Saskatchewan legislature pause to remember Broncos’ trainer
REGINA — Members of the Saskatchewan legislature have passed a motion of condolence following the death of the Humboldt Broncos’ athletic trainer.
Dayna Brons, who was 24, died in a Saskatoon hospital Wednesday after she suffered critical injuries in last Friday’s collision involving the hockey team’s bus.
Premier Scott Moe, who put forward the motion, told the assembly about the need to keep thinking about the victims’ families.
Opposition NDP Leader Ryan Meili seconded the motion by saying the accident shows how fragile life can be.
