MacIntyre case due back in court next month
The case against former Innisfail – Sylvan Lake MLA Don MacIntyre has been put over to next month.
MacIntyre did not appear in person in Red Deer Provincial Court Thursday morning. He was instead was represented by Maurice Collard, acting on behalf of MacIntyre’s defence counsel, Ian McKay of Calgary.
The case is due back in court on March 22, allowing time for lawyers on both sides to gather evidence and other information regarding the case.
MacIntyre resigned suddenly on Feb. 2 after being charged with counts of sexual assault and sexual interference (with a person under the age of 16).
