Excitement growing for baseball academy at St. Joseph High
A new baseball and softball academy in Red Deer looks like it could be a grand slam if the interest shown at a recent information session is any indication.
About 200 people – kids and parents – came out Monday night to St. Joseph High School, where the program will launch this September.
Teresa Borchers, Vice Principal at St. Joseph, says the turnout was very encouraging.
“I think it’s fair to say there’s a lot of interest in the community, a great amount of buzz and excitement around the idea of being able to offer this,” she says.
