Infant falls from window in Penhold

Aug 22, 2017 | 11:54 AM

A one-year-old child was taken to hospital this morning after falling through a window at a home in Penhold.

The incident happened just after 8:30 a.m. when the young girl went through a ground floor window and fell about seven feet to the ground.

The girl’s mother tells rdnewsNOW she did not suffer any injuries and is being kept overnight in hospital as a precaution. She will be sent home in the morning.

Penhold Fire Chief Jim Pendergast wants the incident to serve as an important safety reminder to ensure the windows in your home are properly protected, especially when young children are around.
