Delegates from across Alberta tour Red Deer & Mountain View County farms and attractions

RED DEER COUNTY- From July 11 to July 14, Agricultural Service Board delegates and their families from 70 municipalities across Alberta will be gathering in Red Deer County and Mountain View County for the 2017 ASB Summer Tour.

The summer tours are an annual event hosted by a different municipality each year.

Stops on the Red Deer County delegate tour include Beck’s Farm, Antler Valley Farms, Bystrom Farm, and Bluegrass Nursery and Sod Farm.

Stops on the Mountain View County delegate tour include the Reese Cattle Company, Brian Ellis Seed, Carlson Ag/Agri-Trend demo, and the Barr-Ag Hay and Grain Exporters.

There is also a great lineup of tour stops for delegate partners in both Mountain View County and Red Deer County, including Shirley’s Greenhouse, Fallen Timber Meadery, The Jungle Farm, Edgar Farms, Solstice Berry Farm, PaSu Farms, and the historic village of Markerville.

Youth attending the tour will spend their first day in Red Deer County visiting Fort Normandeau, Discovery Wildlife Park, the RCMP dog training facility, and Dickson Dam.

The second youth day will be held at Olds College taking take part in several hands-on experiences and activities including the Veterinary Technician program.
