The tour will provide the opportunity to observe how technology is used on the farm, including robotic milkers, computerized hog feeders, barn cameras linked to cell phones to monitor calving, and precision agricultural equipment.

The tour will also visit a local malting facility that supplies malt to several craft breweries throughout the province.

The tour is an all-day event on August 2.

Tickets are $30.00 and can be purchased from the Red Deer County office with payment by cash, debit or cheque.
