Highland Games return to Red Deer for 70th year

For the 70th year, the Red Deer Highland Games are happening later this month.

“This event is great for families and individuals. Some of the events we have are the dance competition, piping and drumming, heavy events, we have a large kids area,” says event spokesperson Jennifer Meyn.

“We have the 78 Fraser Highlanders and Red Stags Battle Group, we will have sheepdogs, vendors, a pub with entertainment and a few other events. It’s great for all ages.”

Tickets can be purchased through the Westerner or at RedDeerHighlandGames.ca

The 70th annual Red Deer Highland Games run Saturday, June 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m at Westerner Park.
