Collision at East Hill shopping centre sends seniors to hospital

A pair of seniors are in hospital after being struck by an SUV in a Red Deer parking lot on Wednesday afternoon.

RCMP say the collision occured at the East Hill shopping centre on 22 Street at 2:30 p.m.

The two pedestrians were struck at low speed and then treated on scene by Emergency Services. They were taken to hospital for further evaluation and there is no further update on their health.

The driver of the vehicle did remain on scene and RCMP continue to investigate. They do say speed, nor alcohol were factors in the crash.
