17-year-old male headed to court over stabbing in Maskwacis

Maskwacis RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing on June 9th at approximately 3 p.m. at a residence on the Montana First Nation.

STARS transported the male victim from the altercation to an Edmonton hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police arrested a 17-year-old male youth for aggravated assult and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. The youth cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The male youth was remanded into custody and his next court appearance will be in Wetaskiwin Provincial Court on June 21, 2017.
