Seniors’ Week in Red Deer kicks off Monday

RED DEER- The City of Red Deer is honouring seniors next week by offering free admission and discounted monthly passes to City recreation facilities.

“Whether it’s giving their time, talent or life experience, seniors’ contributions are at the heart of our vibrant community,” said Barb McKee, Recreation Superintendent.

To celebrate Seniors Week, June 5 – 11, The City is offering citizens 65 years and over free admission to all City recreation facilities.

Seniors can drop in anytime during the week to take part in dozens of activities in the pool, gym or fitness classes.

Seniors can visit all four community recreation centres:

-Collicutt Centre (3031 – 30 Avenue)
-G.H. Dawe Community Centre (56 Holt Street)
-Michener Aquatic Centre (51A Street and 38 Avenue)
-Recreation Centre (4501 – 47A Avenue)

In addition to the free week, The City is also offering 25 per cent off all senior monthly pass cards purchased during the month of June.
