Penhold gas station thief caught hiding in roof

Try as he might, there was no escape for a gas station robber in Penhold over the long weekend.

Innisfail RCMP say they were called to an alarm at the Fas Gas in Penhold at around 2 a.m. Monday.

2019 Canada Winter Games just one year away

One year from today, Red Deer will welcome more than 20,000 athletes, coaches and visitors from across the nation for the 2019 Canada Winter Games.

The milestone was celebrated during an event at Great Chief Park Thursday afternoon.
