Jul 16, 2018 | 3:35 PM

Luckily, there were no serious injuries after a man in his 50s crashed his vehicle into a home in Anders Park over the noon hour on Monday.

It was about 12:30 p.m. when it’s believed a man driving a vehicle on 30 Avenue suffered a medical incident behind the wheel.

Witness Drew Hagerman says the driver appeared to suffer convulsions in his car.

“He fell against the driver’s side window and then his vehicle accelerated at a pretty incredible rate,” recalls Hagerman. “He crossed the median, crossed southbound traffic, it’s amazing no one was hurt. Jumped the berm and crashed through the fences and crashed into that residence.”

Hagerman says it was at that point that he and a few other people stopped to help and render first aid.

“When the emergency services people took over, he was conscious, he was alive,” adds Hagerman. “Thank God there was no one else hurt which was a miracle because there was a lot of traffic on 30.”

The victim’s car ended up leaving 30 Avenue, veering westbound through the ditch before crashing under the rear deck of a residence on Alexander Crescent.

EMS extricated the man from the vehicle before he was taken to hospital for assessment, but it’s believed he did not suffer any serious injuries.

Mounties say no charges will be laid.
