RDC showcases student productions at Film Works 2017

Red Deer College invites central Albertans to celebrate the best films of the year at Film Works 2017. This annual event features films created by RDC’s latest student actors, directors, cinematographers and all-around filmmakers.

This year’s showcase will include ten films, with an approximate running time of 90 minutes.

Audiences can expect to see a wide variety of films, including “The Guardians”, a short documentary focused on the K’ómoks Guardian Watchmen of Vancouver Island, and the legend of Queneesh, a great whale of West Coast folklore, who saved the K’ómoks First Nation from an ancient flood long ago.

The Call – produced by Brock Beal

Touch – produced and directed by David Daniel Kohl

You Shouldn’t Have – directed by Rina Pelletier

The Guardians – produced by Brock Beal

You & Me – produced, written and directed by Hannah Sanson

Love Loss – produced by Warren Stephens

Missing Piece – produced, written and directed by Robyn Jeffrey
