Alberta vaccine record with QR code required for Restrictions Exemption Program starting Nov. 15
Vaccinated Albertans are being advised that their paper records will only be accepted until this coming Monday.
In September, the province introduced the Restrictions Exemption Program (REP), which allowed participating businesses to require patrons to provide proof that they have been immunized against COVID-19 in order to avoid occupancy limits and other public health restrictions.
This was followed by the creation of a scannable QR code in October that Albertans can get on their smart devices or in paper form.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Deena Hinshaw says, as of Monday, November 15, those looking to attend a business, service provider, or venue utilizing the REP will need to show their QR code.
